June 19 – June 26
The Goeltz Family is our friends family. We love them dearly and we always pick up where we left off! Over 20 years and counting!
Man, did we have some celebrations! Aspen’s 15th birthday, Mel’s 25th (who’s counting?!) birthday, Ben’s 12th birthday, and Father’s Day. We went to bed late and burned through the day.
In addition to making sure we had the appropriate sweet treats all week: donuts from Veera’s (all dairy-free for Ben, yay!!), cupcakes from Bernice’s Bakery and ice cream from Big Dipper, we DID manage to get some exercise and spend time outdoors! Mel, Clark and I took on the Montana hills with some great runs and we even explored a few hikes and climbed a few trees. For Father’s Day, we took the crew to The Hub and they managed to smoke me on BOTH the go carts and laser tag. That afternoon, we took our bikes into Missoula did a few miles along the Bitterroot River before grabbing some ice cream. Back at the Goeltz Ranch, the kiddos did a bunch of 4-wheeling, trampoline-time and we gathered brush to burn off a small amount of the massive burn piles had they cleared on the property.

On Tuesday, we took a day trip with the boat to Lake Como followed by a fabulous pub dinner at Bitter Root Brewing.
Jay and Clark went on an epic evening dirt-bike ride Thursday evening.
On Wednesday, we booked a swim time at Currents Aquatic Center. We also fit in a mall shopping spree in Missoula so Ben could buy some new kicks with his birthday money from Grandma and Grandpa Limoges. For Ben’s birthday lunch we had some excellent hibachi!

When Friday showed up again, exhausted and with full hearts, we were sad to go!
Next stop Kamiah, Idaho!
