Stop 22- Toomsuba, Mississippi

Sunday, May 31st

Back to Mississippi!

We left Ozark, AL and traveled about 4 hours to the KOA in Toomsuba, MS. This KOA was about as good ol’ American camping as it gets. This sweet campsite is located in the thick of the forest countryside and about 1.5 miles off of I20. We saw some of the most gorgeous class As pull in.

Talk about huge family fun! A custom hillside water slide dubbed the “Missislipy”, a large game room, big pool, horseshoes, truck tire swing and a generous dog park! A superb spot for the kids and they gave it a 10/10 on the kid rating scale.

And in case anyone is wondering, the kiddos have grown! Ben is 5’3” and Izzy is just shy of 5 foot!!

We met folks from Maine who were renting a Cruise America class C RV to visit their daughter in San Antonio who is having baby #3. Lots of folks from MS just getting out and enjoying the sunshine. I read that RV rentals are up 300% since April. Our Maine friends aren’t the only ones traveling this way this summer.

Off to Memphis tomorrow. Hoping to see some sideburns tomorrow at Graceland. I feel my temperature rising.”– Elvis
