The second full week of January has been spectacular! We arrived in Anaheim on Sunday, Jan 13, checking into the Anaheim RV Park. If you’re going to Disneyland and want to pull your trailer or drive your RV to Anaheim, stay here. Staff are super friendly and they even have a dog walking service!
On Monday, we went to Universal Studios. So much fun. Jenn found a ‘hack’ for parking at the Park and Ride lot kitty corner to the park. Once in, we ran to the Harry Potter Ride. Totally. Epic. Ride. We all loved it so much, we ran out the exit and back into line. The rest of the day was spent going on the Studio Tour (Jenn’s favorite), Water World, Minions, and Simpson’s rides. What a great way to spend our first day in LA!
Tuesday through Thursday we headed to Disney Land and California Adventure. What a blast! I have to say the whole family has been addicted to the Incredicoaster. It’s fast, lots of drops and just plain fun. We met so many characters along the way too! Groot, Spider-Man, Pluto, Goofy, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Donald, Eyeore, Winnie, Chewbacca, Rey, and R2D2! We did Goofy’s Diner and Minnie’s Breakfast to have some quality time with the Disney characters as well as World of Color in the evening.
While we didn’t plan it, we ended up being at the park during the week of the opening of the new Star Wars Ride, Rise of the Resistance on Thursday 1/17. Over 100 groups went through the first day. We got to the park super early and at 8:00am refreshed our digial queue and managed to pick up group 29 and were on the ride by 12:00pm. By 8:00pm that evening, the queue was up to Groups 80-100. All in all, it’s been so much fun to run around the park with the kids, and just enjoy the beautiful California sun.
I know, I know, I’m sure you’re asking about Riggs! He’s been doing great. Clark has been getting up early and taking him to the Huntington Beach Dog Park. Bend definitely has some of the best DPs around, but watching the sunrise while Riggs fetches balls on the beach is hard to beat! In addition, the RV park staff have been loving on him and taking him for a couple of walks and fetch sessions each day. Needless to say, we think Riggs is having a good time too. Saturday, the rest of the family decided to take a day off to join Clark at the beach.

Hi Guys. I finally figured out how to see all your posts. I am so impressed with all you are getting to do. Disneyland looks like it it just a real hoot!! I was there about 40 years ago. My favorite ride was It’s a Small World. I have such fond memories of that trip with a boyfriend.
Glad to hear Riggs is having fun. I love the picture of him playing in the ocean. Very cool.
Thank you for blogging. This is my first experience with a blog and it really is fun…..now that I’m getting to know how to use it. Please keep the pictures coming.
Love you
