Stop 6- Alamogordo, NM – White Sands National Park

Monday, January 27th. Talk about an epic day. White Sands National Monument was changed to a National Park in December of 2019. The Monument signs were still outside- what a treat that we got to explore it only months after it becoming a National Park. Once again, our little 4th grader Izzy got us into the park for free. They say a picture is worth … Continue reading Stop 6- Alamogordo, NM – White Sands National Park

Stop 4- Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction, AZ

After battling the CA roads which shook the heck out of us, our camper, and poor Riggs, we were thrilled to come up on AZ via I-10 East, which is a wide, smooth, gorgeous and well- maintained freeway. Yahhhsss!! We had to fix our bedroom door and some of the molding as we walked through the camper assessing damage. Our campsite is beautiful and we … Continue reading Stop 4- Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction, AZ

Sunday January 12th- We had packed up the camper Saturday evening so we’d be ready to hit the road early- still took us right around 2 hours to get out the door after staying up later than usual. There’s something about the night sky when there’s a full moon- my 4 enchiladas and I just seem to have more energy than usual. Not knowing what … Continue reading Anaheim- Universal Studios Hollywood & Disneyland- Stop 3

Some fun facts about Millerton Lake- it was created in 1944 … Continue reading Millerton Lake State Recreation Area, Fresno & Yosemite National Park – Stop 2

Whiskeytown National Recreation Area/Lake Shasta- Stop 1

First Stop. Had to fight to find a space (just kidding!) Good thing we had a reservation πŸ˜‰ Met a fellow RVr, Cindy, who was on her way back from Tucson to Bellevue. She gave Izzy some lemons she had just picked that morning which we gratefully accepted as a good omen and start to our adventures. Weather was chilly and cold. It seemed the … Continue reading Whiskeytown National Recreation Area/Lake Shasta- Stop 1
