It was kind of a fun, lazy day getting things together to leave PSJ. The kiddos finished their legos and asked me to snap a few photos.
We then decided to grab lunch at the Sand Dollar Cafe. Southern home style cooking served cafeteria style. It’s always a good sign when you see plenty of folks picking up food. Ben tried the herb roasted bone in chicken, Izzy and me the seared Chilean salmon with lemon dill beurre blanc. I tried the baby Lima beans and carrots as my side while Ben did the rice and Izzy the mashed potatoes. It was amazing. Clark was working so we sent him the menu and he asked for us to bring some shrimp and grits. Delish.
We also got a chance to check out the Salinas boardwalk Bayside, which had been closed prior. It was a little hot for Riggs’ paws so towards the end the kiddos hot potatoed it with Riggs to hustle back. They had a mister, dog water foundation, two people water fountains and even a bike repair kiosk at the entrance. Pretty cool.
Next stop, Ozark, Alabama!

Hi Jenn. The Legos creations are fabulous. Congratulations to Ben & Izzy for their creative work. I remember when Daniel was making Legos warships and airplanes. He was so talented and had such a creative mind. The pictures of Riggs are so funny. I honestly laugh when I see him in his crazy sleeping positions. Boy, he is a win/win situation for everyone. Please keep posting your blog. I love hearing from you. Love & Hugs AK
